In an increasingly borderless world in which brands can be as powerful as currency, stretching brands that already have strong equity has become an ever more important avenue for growth. However, many attempts at brand stretch fail in the marketplace. Kathryn Carlson is named assistant dean, Executive Education, Part-time and Executive MBA programs at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
Carlson is charged with directing the Carlson School’s Executive Education programs and staff and for expanding its open-enrollment and custom programs. She will also continue her role as assistant dean of the Carlson Executive MBA and Part-Time MBA programs, where she will continue to design activities that will strengthen enrollment and the overall MBA student community.
